INDUSTRIAL MACHINE KNITTING // STOLL
From Sketches. To Programming. To Yarn Choice
I start by sketching with the mindset of the M1 Plus computer program for industrial knitting. My main focus begins on the color palette, then to thinking about the possible needle variation within the yarn restriction. I then proceed to create in-depth sketches of potential knits by challenging myself to narrow down on the sketches I favor most. Upon finishing ideation drawings, I design the final version on M1 Plus by creating the knit via industrial knitting machine.
